The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

NOW Lebanon - ISF’s Rifi forms commission to deal with torture of detainees, February 21, 2012


Internal Security Forces Director General Achraf Rifi formed a commission tasked with resolving complaints on torture of detainees, the National News Agency reported on Tuesday.
“Upon the approval of the judicial authorities, Rifi formed a special commission tasked with resolving complaints related to the torture of convicted people, detainees and people in the custody of security forces,” the ISF said in a statement.
