The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

The Daily Star - Domestic worker dead after fall through skylight, April 27, 2015



A domestic worker believed to be Ethiopian or Sri Lankan fell to her death Monday in Nahr al-Mott, north of Beirut, a security source said.

The source told The Daily Star police arrived on scene at about 9 a.m. and launched an investigation into the incident after the worker fell through the skylight of a building in Nahr al-Mott.

One witness said the victim appeared to be running away before she fell to her death.
