The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Lasa residents obstruct MTV crew’s work - July 19, 2011

MTV reported on Tuesday that residents of the Jbeil town of Lasa prevented one of the network’s crew from carrying out its reporting tasks.
Residents confiscated a camera belonging to the MTV crew and destroyed the tape inside, the station added.
The MTV also reported that another crew was interrogated by “party members” while filming a report on the highway to Beirut’s Rafik Hariri International Airport.
