The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Russian Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Zasypkin on Monday visited former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri’s tomb in downtown Beirut and praised the “great role of this great man in Lebanon.”
Hariri “notably contributed to ending the war and was a loyal friend to Russia,” the ambassador said, according to Future News TV.
“As a permanent member of the UN Security Council, we want the truth about PM Rafik Hariri’s assassination and the other assassinations.”
