The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

April 26, 2010 - Now Lebanon - Parents of missing and detained in Syria want formation of national committee

The National News Agency (NNA) reported that the parents of Lebanese nationals missing and detained in Syria issued a statement on Monday calling for the formation of a national committee that would design a mechanism to resolve the issue, as called for in the Ministerial Statement.

The parents also slammed Lebanese officials for not following up on the issue, accusing politicians of caring only about their own interests.
