The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

iloubnan - Lebanon by bike for the "World Environment Day" on June 5 - May 30, 2011

Critical Mass Beirut and Green Line (in Beirut), Eco Bike and Tour Sour (in the South), Mina by Bike (in Tripoli) are all coming together on Sunday, June 5, "World Environment Day"

Those organizations call upon the citizens to give up their cars for one day, and use "bikes to cut down the car-emissions which are the major cause of air pollution in Lebanon, and particularly in the city."

If you don't have a bike, the organizers will provide you with one, but you need to inform them before hand (by Friday).
