The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

iloubnan - Sleiman requests Justice Ministry to take legal measure against Rifi - May 30, 2011

The Presidential General Directorate and upon the request of President Michel Sleiman requested the Ministry of Justice to take necessary legal measures against Internal Security Forces Chief Ashraf Riffi for "refusing to comply with Interior Minister Ziad Baroud's orders."

Baroud had issued an order to ISF chief, numbered 9143, dated May 26, 2011, to immediately evacuate the second floor of the Ministry of Telecommunications in Adlye.

However, Rifi refused to evacuate the ISF members saying a ministerial decree issued on May 8,2008 requests that equipment on the second floor of the building be protected.
