The Daily Star - Lebanon News - Weapons seized from houses in Bekaa Valley

ZAHLE: A Lebanese Army patrol seized weapons and ammunition in two separate houses in the town of Ferzol near Zahle, in the Bekaa Valley, said the state-run National News Agency. Several rifles and ammunition were confiscated in a raid following the arrest of two armed men involved in an earlier shootout in Zahle. The NNA said seven other people were arrested after their failed attempt to evade an army patrol to avoid showing their identification papers. According to the NNA, the arrested were transferred to the relevant judicial authorities for further investigation while the army continues the search for other individuals who are on the run. – The Daily Star
