Naharnet - Aoun: Let al-Hasan Investigate Karam's Case on Condition he Does Not Leak Information to Media - September 28, 2010

Free Patriotic Movement MP Michel Aoun accused the state on Tuesday of creating the false witnesses in the investigation into the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, saying: "The government has admitted their existence, but they do not want to try them because it is the one that made them."
He added after the movement's weekly meeting: "The truth does not belong to the Hariri family alone … we want the truth and it is necessary to find out who came up with the false witnesses."
Addressing the investigation with suspected Israeli spy Fayez Karam, Aoun said: "Let the head of the Intelligence Bureau at the Internal Security Forces, Wissam al-Hasan investigate the case on condition that he does not leak information to the media."

Furthermore, he criticized the expenditure of funds by parliament, saying: "The Finance Ministry is like Ali Baba's cave where employees only go in illegally and never leave similar to what has happened at the intelligence bureau."
