Now Lebanon - Kataeb disappointed that Hezbollah wants to abolish STL - September 27, 2010

Following its weekly meeting on Monday, the Kataeb Party issued a statement voicing its disappointment that Hezbollah and its allies want to abolish the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) and prevent a calm atmosphere.
This comes in a possible reference to Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Nawwaf al-Moussawi’s, who said last week that any group in Lebanon that “abides by the Special Tribunal for Lebanon’s (STL)[pending] indictment will be dealt with on the basis that it is one of the tools of US-Israeli aggression.”
It seems as if there is a plan to cause sedition and change the government, the Kataeb said, adding that “the campaign against the STL” harms the country’s security, but does not affect the tribunal’s work.

The statement also said that the party, upon its leader Amin Gemayel’s request, has abstained from getting involved in arguments. The Kataeb also called on all parties to limit their disagreements.
The party welcomed Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea’s Saturday call to young FPM members to work with March 14 alliance forces.
