Now Lebanon - Nicolas says Najjar is “the minister of treachery” - September 28, 2010

In an interview with Ad-Diyar newspaper published on Tuesday, Free Patriotic Movement MP Nabil Nicolas said that Justice Minister Ibrahim Najjar is “the minister of treachery,” adding that Internal Security Forces (ISF) Director General “Achraf Rifi’s work is more of that of a politician than of a military person.”
Nicolas said that he holds the ISF – Information Branch responsible for the leaks of its investigations of arrested people charged with collaborating with Israel.
In a fiery speech on September 5, FPM leader MP Michel Aoun criticized the government over media leaks stemming from the ISF—Information Branch’s investigation of Brigadier General Fayez Karam, an FPM official arrested August 5 on charges of spying for Israel.
“Trying Karam is only political,” Nicolas said, adding that “blackmailing the FPM through the arrest of Karam is unacceptable.”
“I am sure Karam was not an Israeli collaborator,” he added.
