Naharnet - Mount Lebanon Municipality Head Missing

Head of a Mount Lebanon municipality has gone missing for the past few days, al-Liwaa newspaper reported Tuesday.
It said the president of this municipality is affiliated with a political party and aspires to have a leading position in the public sector.
The Syrian daily al-Watan on Monday said a Lebanese public servant who intended to run for the 2009 parliamentary elections has been arrested on suspicion of spying for Israel.
It cited political circumstances as the reason the official backed down on his decision to run for elections.
