The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Woman and her children kidnapped in South - August 31, 2010

NOW Lebanon’s correspondent reported on Tuesday that a woman identified as Iman Hassan Qobeissy and her two children, Hadi and Yara Ghandour, were kidnapped by unidentified individuals in South Lebanon.

The kidnappers called the woman’s brother asking for a ransom, the correspondent added.

Security forces have launched an investigation into the issue.
