The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Palestinians call for civil rights in Baalbek protest

A delegation of Palestinian parties in Lebanon gathered in front of the office of the Commissioner General of the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in Baalbek, to call for granting the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon civil rights, the National News Agency (NNA) reported on Monday.

The protestors’ demands included granting Palestinian refugees the right to own property in Lebanon, the NNA said.

The parliament is expected to address draft proposals on granting Palestinian refugees in the country certain rights during its Tuesday session.
