The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

أعلنت قيادة الجيش - مديرية التوجّيه، في بيان، أنّه "تنفيذاً للاستنابات القضائيّة المتعلقة بتوقيف عدد من المطلوبين للعدالة في جرائم الخطف وحمل السلاح وقطع الطرق خلال الآونة الاخيرة، وبتوجيهات من قائد الجيش جان قهوجي تمكنت قوة تابعة لمديرية المخابرات مساء اليوم، في منطقة الضاحية الجنوبية من توقيف المدعو ماهر المقداد إثر عملية دقيقة وخاطفة لم يتخللها أي اطلاق نار، بوشر التحقيق مع الموقوف بإشراف القضاء المختص لكشف ملابسات عمليات الخطف والإخلال بالأمن".
