The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

August 15, 2010 - Naharnet - Hussam Hussam: Ghassan al-Jed Was Near Hariri Crime Scene

False witness in ex-Premier Rafik Hariri's assassination case, Hussam Hussam, has confirmed Hizbullah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's allegations that an Israeli agent identified as Ghassan al-Jed was present at the bombing scene on the Beirut seafront in February 2005.
Hussam, who is Syrian and currently resides in his home country, told al-Manar TV station that al-Jed was near HSBC, which is only 400 meters away from the blast scene, when the bombing went off.

Hussam had claimed he had been coerced into fingering Syria in Hariri's murder.

He said he would unveil new information about the Special Tribunal for Lebanon at a press conference in the next few days. However, his attorney Omran al-Zohbi told pan-Arab daily Asharq al-Awsat daily that there was no decision yet to hold the conference.
